ScriptWrite 2.1 Update Available Today

We are very pleased to announce that version 2.1 of ScriptWrite is available today!

IMPORTANT: If you are updating from version 1.0.1, you MUST export your projects before updating. If you are updating from 2.0 or higher, your scripts will not be deleted. For information on getting old 1.0.1 projects back into ScriptWrite, you can read our instructions HERE.

ALSO: Be sure to restart your device after installing the update.

Here are the new features contained in the 2.1 update with detailed information as needed:

1) Link to your DropBox account for import/export. Importing and exporting can now be done to your Dropbox account. Touch the Dropbox icon on the main menu. You will need to link your account. A new folder will be created on your Dropbox called “ScriptWrite”. Once you link, you will not need to input your credentials again unless you unlink your account. To Import a script from your Dropbox, touch the Dropbox icon and the list of scripts available to import will appear. Simply touch the script and it will be imported. A confirmation message will display. To Export to Dropbox, touch the blue arrow to the right of the script name on the main menu and you will be taken to the Export Screen. Touch the ‘export’ icon on the bottom right of the screen. You will then be given the export choices. You will see the Dropbox option here.

2) Import via email. You can now import a .txt or .fdx document directly from your email. Simply click on the document in your email and you will be given the choice to ‘open in ScriptWrite’.

3) Import/Export via iTunes. You can now use iTunes, when your device is connected to your computer, to import and export scripts.

4) Character Database is now per script. Previously, all characters from every script wound up in the Character Database. Now, it works appropriately so that each script has it’s own Character Database.

5) Access Character Database. You can now access the Character Database to delete and add names. To access, we have added a new icon on the ScriptWrite toolbar next to the Scene Database icon.

6) You can now Rename and Duplicate scripts. To rename or duplicate a script, touch the ‘edit’ button on the main menu. Now, when you touch the script name, a pop-up menu will give you the option to ‘Rename” or “Duplicate” the script.

7) Cancel Buttons on Export Screens

8) New icons:
IMPORT (on main menu)
DROPBOX (on main menu)
CHARACTER DATABASE (on ScriptWrite toolbar)
INFO (on main menu)

9) Updated ‘Quick Start’ Screen(s) We added the new icons for reference.

10) Bug fixes: Improved performance and small bug fixes throughout.

We hope you enjoy the update and please let us know if you experience any issues: support@filterapps.com
